about

someonedays is an experimental EP, inspired by a friend of mine, to try to capture the spontaneity of emotion that fuels a lot of kinds of creativity. All of these songs were written and recorded and mixed in one session (done-in-a-day) to try to limit the revising process that comes with making art and can be more inhibitory than productive at times (though, that obviously has it's downsides too)...all of these were written by Mitchell Macura in the fall of 2014.

Super huge thanks to all the people that promote creativity, and value it intrinsically. To all the people I showed these tracks to before officially releasing them, who inspired me to make head sounds into sharable material.

Track Name: The Forest's Chorus
I'm immersed in a bubble of beauty that I will never see, that I will never see
Self inflicted blindness upon me I've survived from unity a binding parody
There it screams a forest of life and purity
Soft, still, sedentarily, breathing fine
In a hopeful chorus, played by wind and drying leaves
Wild calls out a remedy, from my pyre, from my wired embrace
I'm immersed in a tunnel of duty that I have never seen
How it took surprise-less conforming, to find a clarity, of heightened emptiness
There it screams a forest of life and purity
Soft, still, sedentarily, breathing fine
In a hopeful chorus, played by wind and drying leaves
Wild calls out a remedy, from my pyre, from my wired embrace
On life
On life
Track Name: Rain Song
Like a book I am bound, to a merry-go-around of emotion that always gets away
There's a freedom you've fostered on your Spanish escapade
How I wonder what bothered your polished arcade
All the smiles and tinkerbells were a mask covering hell
Just a bottled old soul, hiding afraid
How you've walked it off
How it feels the same to me
Though your feelings' gone
I'd rather you be, just be, free
As it's raining like oceans, waves crash into the street
They are crashing, outlasting some effort of a reach
To a moment of fleet
How an opportunity burnt itself out and made a need
Though it's not shared
Though I'm still unprepared
All change is what keeps
I guess we just bleed, we just need, we'll just be
Track Name: RadioSilence
Radio silence
Radio silence
You keep to yourself it's
Painful to wait let's try not to be here
Awaken what's left
Hums I hear no concepts

Radio silence
Radio silence
You keep to yourself it's
Painful to wait let's try not to be here
Awaken what's left
Hums I hear no concepts
Track Name: Marquee
I've been a slave to your love
I have been caught in the was
My heart it sings all it wants
Louder than sense does

And though you just keep coming up
Try to escape all the rust
Left from your ring here
Making rough more than a finger

Use me, is screaming like a marquee
And though you left so softly
Confusion has come in three
With only two to fit "we"
A lover, consequently
Must make do

Use me, is screaming like a marquee
And though you left so softly
Confusion has come in three
With only two to fit "we"
A lover, consequently
Must make do
Without you
Without you
Track Name: Long Shot
Can you not see?
The distance that bleeds
Between courtesy and silence in your hook
My soliloque, keeps on pulling
Past creeks of a fling, and crying of a crook

Opening up, nothing but a long shot
Holding just a core rot, from once an apple tree
Seeding or not, painted in a loud blot
Lined before it forgot a feeling

Scribbled out in black ink
I've tried to leave out mystery
Coaping with your absence in a dream
Your majesty

Opening up, nothing but a long shot
Holding just a core rot, from once an apple tree
Seeding or not, painted in a loud blot
Lined before it forgot a feeling
